Richard Barrett, Executive Director of Operations, DST Financial Services
Richard joined DST Financial Services (formerly IFDS) at the end of 2008 and is Executive Director of Operations with responsibility for Transfer Agency and Investment Trust processing and client service with teams working in the UK, Luxembourg and Mumbai, India. After graduating with an M.A. in Engineering Science from Oxford University in 1985, Richard began his career in Information Technology as a programmer and after 15 years of IT experience, transferred into an operational role whilst working at Fidelity Investments. Richard now has 22 years of experience in the financial services industry with 15 of those working in operations. www.ifdsgroup.co.uk

Simon Ellis, Financial Services Consultant
Simon has over 30 years experience in financial services, and has become a leading figure in the asset management industry. He has worked as CEO/MD at Axa Investment Managers, Fidelity Multimanager and Legal and General Investments, as well as being actively involved within the IMA and as a regular speaker and writer. Simon has worked with all of the major UK TPAs, directed proprietary administrative teams and completed major service contract transfers. He has extensive experience of working with external partners, assessing and monitoring their performance and over the last five years has initiated major RFP exercises in the UK and Europe.

Robert Mirsky, Partner and Global Head of KPMG's Hedge Fund Practice
Robert recently moved to the US from London where he spent the last 10 years. In the UK, he also worked with KPMG in a similar capacity. Prior to this, Robert was a Senior Partner at Laven Partners in London where he was responsible for the development and creation of a global managed account platform. He has served in leadership roles at other "Big 4" firms around the world including in the Cayman Islands, Milan and Bangkok. Robert is an investment and operations expert, U.S. lawyer and U.S. tax practitioner. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and economics from Boston University and a Juris Doctorate from American University, Washington College of Law. Robert is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of the UK based child protection charity Hedge Funds Care UK and was named by CityWealth Magazine as one of Europe's most inspirational financial services philanthropists.

Jonathan Hammond, Managing Consultant, Institutional Technology Practice Lead, Knadel
Jonathan is an experienced consultant specialising in asset management operations, enterprise architectures and IT & Data strategy. He has specialised in IT for investment management since 2004 and also leads Knadel's Institutional Technology Practice. Jonathan's recent experience includes the selection of an Investment Accounting platform for a large UK asset manager and the development of a Target Operating Model (TOM) to leverage it; the development and delivery of outsourced operating models for two large UK asset managers; production of a multi-year IT strategy for a global asset manager as well as projects covering data management strategy and solutions; target operating model design for international investment operations; design and implementation of fund-of-hedge-fund operating models, futures margining operations and OTC derivatives operations. Jonathan is a well-known figure in the asset management technology sector, particularly having presented at industry conferences and been quoted on various data and technology topics. www.knadel.com


Joanna Hall, Head of UK Financial Services, North Highland
Currently Head of UK Financial Services at North Highland, a global consultancy firm specialising in customer experience and digital transformation, Joanna's passion is to help companies get closer to their customers, making it easier for them to do business. Having worked in Industry (Fidelity) and for a range of consultancies, including the big four (KPMG and EY) as well as Insurance specialists (Towers and Bacon & Woodrow (now Deloitte)), Joanna has an excellent track record of innovation which has led to implementation of a number of ground breaking industry propositions. More recently she was Sales and Marketing Director for a financial planning software Fintech company operating in the corporate and retail wealth and retirement market. www.northhighland.com

Lawrence Gosling - Group Editorial Director, Incisive Media
Lawrence Gosling is the group editorial director of Incisive Media and the founding editor of Investment Week, for which he stills writes a weekly column, Gosling's Grouse. He was also the launch editor of IFAonline, and Mortgage Solutions, Cover and Bloomberg Money magazines. Lawrence has recently written a book called 'Intelligent Investors': Inside the minds of today's top managers.

Deborah Benn, Chair, Judging Panel
Deborah is a financial journalist and editorial consultant. Deborah edited Financial Times Magazine's Investment Adviser, as well as Incisive Media's International Investment magazine. Deborah works on a range of financial newsletters and magazines as well as conference and awards' programmes.
