Award Categories and Criteria

The Awards are open to companies providing administration and technology services to the fund industry. Providers do not have to be of UK origin, but must have recently worked for a UK-based client or have a UK representative office. See below for further entry criteria for each individual award. Entrants can enter multiple categories. A separate entry must be supplied for each award. Deadline for submissions is Monday 5th June.

Best Fund Service Solution View criteria

Judges will be looking for an overall solution where objectives have been defined, addressed and executed in the most advantageous manner for the client. Open to fund administration providers offering services such as, but not limited to, fund transaction, custody, settlement, valuation and pricing, regulatory, fund accounting, risk management, audit, enhanced reporting, fund dealing, legal and fund registration services to fund managers.

Best Fund Service Provider View criteria

Judges will be looking for a provider who can demonstrate they can offer the breadth and depth of fund services, solutions and support that clients require, and demonstrate support throughout the project lifecycle. Open to fund administration providers offering services such as, but not limited to, fund transaction, custody, settlement, valuation and pricing, regulatory, fund accounting, audit, enhanced reporting, fund dealing, legal and fund registration services to fund managers.


Best Specialist Fund Service Solution View criteria

Judges will be looking for an overall solution where objectives have been defined, addressed and executed in the most advantageous manner for the client. Open to fund administration providers whose overall service proposition specifically caters for specialist investment needs, such as alternative asset management, private equity, real estate or socially responsible investments.

Best Technology Solution (Large)View criteria

Judges will be looking for a technology solution that addresses a specific fund administration requirement that has been defined, addressed and executed in the most relevant and efficient manner for the client. Open to large firms (> 200 employees) providing technology solutions to the fund management industry.

Best Technology Solution (Small to Medium)View criteria

Judges will be looking for a technology solution that addresses a specific fund administration requirement that has been defined, addressed and executed in the most relevant and efficient manner for the client. Open to small to medium firms (< 200 employees) providing technology solutions to the fund management industry.

Best Technology Provider (Large)View criteria

Judges will be looking for a provider who can demonstrate they can offer the breadth, and depth and breadth of technology solutions, and services and support that clients require., and demonstrate support throughout the project lifecycle. Open to large firms (> 200 employees) providing a broad range of technology solutions to the fund management industry.


Best Technology Provider (Small to Medium)View criteria

Judges will be looking for a provider who can demonstrate they can offer the breadth and depth and breadth of technology solutions, and services and support that clients require, and demonstrate support throughout the project lifecycle. Open to small to medium firms (< 200 employees) providing a broad range of technology solutions to the fund management industry.


Best Compliance and Regulatory Solution (Large)View criteria

Judges will be looking for evidence of a compliance and regulatory service that helps organisations address regulatory requirements such as dealing with a complex regulatory environment, detecting potential violations, addressing identified compliance issues and interacting with regulatory authorities in an effective and cost-efficient manner. Open to large firms (> 200 employees) catering for the increased needs of the risk compliance and regulation departments of fund management firms having to comply with requirements such as MiFID, RDR or AIFMD.

Best Compliance and Regulatory Solution (Small to Medium)View criteria

Best Centre for Fund Administration View criteria

Open to Financial Centres that offer a range of international fund administration services. Judges will be looking for a centre that offers a wide range of administration support to the fund management industry on an international basis, including, but not limited to, legal, accountancy, compliance, tax and stock exchange listing services. Eligible centres include, but are not limited to, Jersey, Guernsey, Luxembourg, Dublin, Cayman, BVI, Isle of Man, Malta, Cyprus, Bermuda and Gibraltar.


Best Tailored Solution View criteria

Judges will be looking for an administration or technology solution that has been specifically tailored for a client and where objectives have been defined, addressed and executed efficiently. Open to administration providers and technology firms.

Best Thought Leadership Paper View criteria

Open to firms who have contributed to a topic affecting fund services including, but not limited to, distribution, disruptive technology, trends in automated trading strategies, behavioural finance, indices, risk or regulation. Papers must have been published in the last 12 months either on websites, publications, press release or sent out to clients.

Best Fund Administration Team View criteria

Open to fund administration teams from either based in-house fund management operations or independent fund administration providers. Judges will be looking for a team that shows evidence of success in terms of collaboration, growth in business, innovation, speed, efficiency, cost benefits and best practice.

Best Portfolio Management Solution View criteria

Judges will be looking for a portfolio management solution where objectives have been defined, addressed and executed in the most advantageous manner for the client. Open to administration providers and technology firms.

Best Trading Solution View criteria

Judges will be looking for a trading solution where objectives have been defined, addressed and executed in the most advantageous manner for the client. Open to administration providers and technology firms.

Award for Innovation in Fund Services View criteria

Judges will be looking for an administration or technology solution where strategic thinking, collaboration and excellence have made a key impact on fund services solutions or investing in general. Open to administration providers, technology firms and platform providers.
